Yes, Ted Turner was a visionary who brought a factual news story to many countries, 24

hour news-even to many countries that had only state-owned broadcasting.

He was a credit to innovation, making the world a better place.  He also saw an opportunity to help people understand people from other cultures, hence those who listened could begin to understand the global world.  This had never been a part of an individual's scope. He hoped to bring peace through understanding.
